The invention discloses a dynamic comparator, an analog-to-digital converter and a control method. The dynamic comparator comprises a pre-amplifier, a latch and a control circuit which are connected in sequence, the pre-amplifier is used for amplifying a difference between two paths of differential input signals input from the outside to obtain voltage at two ends of the amplified difference, andoutputting the voltage to the latch; the output end of the latch is connected with the input end of the control circuit, and the latch is used for outputting a corresponding level signal to an external circuit and the control circuit according to the amplitudes of the voltages at the two ends; and the output end of the control circuit is connected with the grid electrode of the tail current tube of the pre-amplifier and is used for controlling the power supply to be switched off and stopping supplying power to the pre-amplifier when the level signal meets a preset condition. By comparing the voltages at the two ends, the corresponding level signal is output to the control circuit, the control circuit controls the power supply to be switched off to stop supplying power to a preamplifier when the level signal meets a preset condition, so that the preamplifier is controlled to be switched off, and the power consumption of the dynamic comparator is reduced.
