The invention discloses a health information monitoring method and system and relates to an intelligent health information monitoring technology. The specific scheme is provided below. The health information monitoring system, when in a shutdown state, senses whether a human body appears in front of a mirror; when the human body appears in front of the mirror, the health information monitoring system enters a standby, obtains an image of the space in front of the mirror and judges whether a monitoring start instruction is obtained according to the image of the space in front of the mirror; when the monitoring start instruction is obtained, the health information monitoring system enters a working state and acquires health monitoring information; the health information monitoring system performs analyzing according to the health monitoring information to obtain a health information monitoring result, and displays the health information monitoring result on the mirror. Complicated operations by a user are not required, and a convenient means for health monitoring in daily life is provided.
