Abstract:
Solid-State Power Controller uses high woltage MOSFET, it can be used to replace Relays or Remote Control Circuit Breakers in most avionics applications, especially where a significant amount of load and wire protection is desired. The SSPC offers better load protection features than a circuit breaker, it works like a super fast relay. The SSPC has been widely used in spacecrafts and aircrafts abroad, they have set lots of standard in aviation and spaceflight area. So far as we know, it has been used in the NASA International Space Station、the Colombia cabin of ESA and the SMART-1 moon dector for space use, and it has been used in A380、Boeing787、F35 and F22 already. In China, the SSPC will use in the fourth gernation battleplane and large aerotransport. The main use of this SSPC is for intelligent power controlling、advanced satellite and Space Station. It contains three basic module, including the main circuit, analog and digital circuit. The DSP is the core of digital circuit, it can accept commands from the host, and drive MOSFET by sending on/off signal; at the same time it can judge the load status with the sampling of current and voltage, and drive MOSFET itself, finally it will send out load status to the host. The SSPC of this text introduced has important meaning of engineering, it has made great improvement of power supply mode comparing with the traditional Relay,it will improve the reliability of whole energy system and enhance the whole circuit protection ability. The study of solid-state power supply mode will be a great help in improving the design level of satellites、spacecrafts and space station power system for our country.
