Abstract:
Pipelined analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is widely applied in wide-band wireless communicaton, instrumentation and radar system, due to its advantages of high speed high resolution. With the fast-developing of electronic systems evolve, system demand higher on the speed, accuracy and power of ADC. For switched capacitor ADC, it requires smaller capacitance to achieve broadband and low power consumption. But smaller capacitance increases mismatch error. In addition, under the deep sub-micron process, intrinsic gain of transistor and power supply voltage is lower, which lead to the high gain of op-amp is achieved more and more difficuilt. The two types of error limit the ADC accuracy. Adding digital calibration is important to correct them.
