Title of Dissertation/Thesis:Research and Design of a 12-Bit 100MS/s Successive Approximation Register Analog-to-Digital Converter
Abstract:
As one of the main analog to digital convert way,successive approximation ADC (SAR ADC) can achieve high conversion accuracy and conversion speed, at the same time it takes full advantage of CMOS technology to achieve low power consumption and smaller chip area . Due to its comprehensive advantages, successive-approximation ADC is widely used in various area of medical devices, industrial control, micro-sensors, portable electronic products, accounting for a wide range of applications. This paper research a successive approximation type ADC which works under a 1V supply voltage, the sampling rate is 100MHz, destination accuracy is 12-Bit. The key technology will be researched and designed in detail. A full description of how it works and implementation is made in each part.
