Abstract:
The subject of this thesis is RFID-based axle temperature measurement system, and mainly focuses on the background of train axle temperature measurement application, though this concept can be applied in other temperature measurement circumstances, such as food product temperature measurement and similar situations as well. The infrared-based temperature measurement system currently in effect in our country, is a big advance from handwork in the past, but still with defects including indirect measurement and low capacity of resisting weather and electrical disturbance. This thesis focuses on designing a RFID-based train axle temperature measurement system. The system contains a reader and a tag as general RFID systems. No special in reader, but the passive SoC tag with CMOS temperature sensor of this system is the novel part. The additional functions of this tag including: measure axle temperature of running train, save the temperature value and send to the reader. By working flow based on 0.18µm CMOS process from parameters design-circuit simulation-layout work to chip test, the achievement of this research work mainly contains: realization of a tag for RFID-based train axle temperature measurement system, the improvement for the realized tag and design of low voltage temperature sensor. The achieved results prove the correctness of the design concept in this work.
