摘要/Abstract:
A reconfigurable analog baseband circuit for WLAN, WCDMA, and Bluetooth in 0.35um CMOS is presented. The circuit consists of two variable gain amplifiers (VGA) in cascade and a Gm-C elliptic low-pass filter (LPF). The filter-order and the cut-off frequency of LPF could be reconfigured to satisfy the requirements of the different applications. More importantly, in order to achieve the optimum power consumption, the bandwidth of VGAs could also be dynamically reconfigured and some Gm cells could be cut-off in the given application. As a result, the analog baseband circuit consumes 16.8mW for WLAN, 8.9mW for WCDMA and only 6.5mW for Bluetooth, all with a 3V power supply. The analog baseband circuit could provide -10dB ~ +40dB variable gain, 3rd-order low pass filtering with 1MHz cut-off frequency for Bluetooth, 4th-order low pass filtering with 2.2MHz cut-off frequency for WCDMA, and 5th-order low pass filtering with 11MHz cut-off frequency for WLAN, respectively.
