摘要/Abstract:
A low power high data rate ASK IF receiver isproposed. It consists of one digital-control AGC loop and an ASKdetector. By utilizing the scrambler concept in the digitalcommunication systems, the gain of PGA in the AGC loop isadjusted discretely by a gain control block to eliminate themulti-digit A/D converter. Due to the high sensitivity of the ASKdetector, a large controllable input range can be obtained in theAGC loop. The ASK IF receiver has been implemented in 0.18μmCMOS and the overall current consumption is 1.2mA with asupply voltage of 1.8V. The ASK receiver achieves a 2Mbps datarate with an IF carrier frequency of 10MHz and an input signalamplitude ranges from 5μV to 900mV.
