摘要/Abstract:
A fully-monolithic 5GHz CMOS LC-VCO (LC-Voltage controlled oscillator) fabricated in 0.25μm 1P5M CMOS technology is presented in this paper. The tuning range of the VCO (Voltage controlled oscillator) is from 4.82GHz to 6.288GHz, about 26.4%. The measured phase noise at 4.82GHz is -ll9dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset from the carrier. It meets the requirements for IEEE 802.11a WLAN standard. The current dissipation of the VCO is 4.92mA from the 2.5V power supply. In this paper, the onchip two-turn octagon spiral inductor and on-chip bias-Ts are presented.
