The invention discloses a tongue picture analysis method and system. The tongue picture analysis method comprises the steps of collecting a two-dimensional image and a three-dimensional image which comprise a tongue part in an open environment; extracting a two-dimensional tongue picture from the two-dimensional image; performing color correction on the two-dimensional tongue picture to correct the two-dimensional tongue picture to a color in a preset standard environment; performing ecchymosis and stasis point identification, tongue coating and tongue body separation, tongue body color calibration and tongue coating feature calibration on the two-dimensional tongue picture subjected to color correction to obtain ecchymosis and stasis point information, tongue body color information and tongue coating feature information of the tongue part; extracting a three-dimensional tongue picture from the three-dimensional image; and extracting physical size information about the tongue body from the three-dimensional tongue picture. According to the method, the requirements of tongue picture collection in various light environments and the requirements of medical staff on tongue picture analysis are met. Meanwhile, two-dimensional data and three-dimensional data of the tongue picture are collected at the same time, and convenience is provided for comparison and diagnosis of the tongue pictures.
