Abstract:

The invention discloses a low-dropout linear voltage regulator, comprising an error amplifier, wherein output of the error amplifier is connected with a voltage regulation transistor through utilization of a buffer. The error amplifier is a differential input single-end output amplifier of a cascode structure. A differential value deltaV of gate source voltages of input tubes of the error amplifier is taken as a reference voltage of the low-dropout linear voltage regulator. The deltaV is added to a feedback resistor network. After the deltaV is amplified by the feedback resistor network and the deltaV is overlapped with a base-emitter voltage of a triode, thereby forming an output voltage of the low-dropout linear voltage regulator. The low-dropout linear voltage regulatoris equipped with the reference voltage, the output voltage is regulatable, and the output voltage can be configured in a certain range through design of a circuit parameter. According to the low-dropout linear voltage regulator, a special undershoot compensation circuit is designed, so transient response capability of the output voltage when output load is switched is improved.
