Abstract：
Provided is a microcontroller which comprises an instruction processing device, a data operation device, and a control unit. The control unit instructs the instruction processing device to fetch and decode an instruction, instructs the data operation device to perform operation according to a decoded code of the instruction or according to the decoded code of the instruction and the instruction, and writes an operation result into the data operation device or the instruction processing device. The instruction processing device comprises a program counter, a program memory, an instruction pre-fetch register, an instruction register, an instruction buffer register, and an instruction decoder. The program counter is connected with the program memory. The instruction pre-fetch register is connected with the program memory, the instruction register, and the instruction buffer register. The instruction register is connected between the instruction pre-fetch register and the instruction decoder. The instruction buffer register is connected between the instruction pre-fetch register and the data operation device. The microcontroller is fast in operation speed and low in power consumption.
