Abstract:

The present invention discloses a millimeter-wave phase locked loop comprising: a voltage controlled oscillator, the tuning method used to generate the differential input signal to set the oscillation frequency; injection-locked output of the quadrature divider, the oscillation signal for dividing processing to output orthogonal frequency division multiplexed signal; charge pump, which is used as the pulse signal into a differential analog voltage output signal; loop filter connected between the charge pump and to the voltage controlled oscillator for analog voltage signal output from the charge pump to filter the input to the voltage controlled oscillator. Millimeter-wave phase locked loop of the present invention to provide a local signal of the set frequency 60GHz millimeter wave communication system. The PLL VCO tuning differential structure, optimize the noise of the oscillator, noise throughout the phase-locked loop optimization is very helpful. By providing differential charge pump differential VCO control voltage input, but also get a better phase noise performance.
