Abstract:
The invention discloses a communication system and method for controlling implanted medical apparatus. The system comprises in-vitro program-controlled equipment and an in-vivo implanted medical apparatus that includes a main processing unit, a power-supplying battery for the main processing unit, and an authentication unit independent of the main processing unit. The authentication unit is used to receive the energy delivered from the program-controlled equipment in order to perform activation, to return authenticated activating signal back to the program-controlled equipment when not detecting the main processing unit communicating, and to perform the authentication operation with the program-controlled equipment based on challenge-response. The main processing unit is used to establish communication link with the program-controlled equipment to receive and process the control instruction transmitted from the program-controlled equipment when the authentication unit achieves the authentication. The technical solution of the invention prolongs the service life of the battery and enhances the usage security.
