摘要/Abstract:
A wide-band continuous-time sigma delta modulator (CTSDM) targeting intermediate-frequency (IF) digitizing is presented. This modulator uses a feedforward/feedback hybrid structure to lower the peaking of out-of-band in signal transfer function (STF). The continuous time self-coupling (CTSC) integrator is introduced to enhance noise shaping. The modulator in 28nm CMOS process is clocked at 5GHz with oversampling ratio (OSR) of 12.5. With 200 MHz signal bandwidth, simulation results show that it achieves a peak signal-to-noise-plus-distortion ratio (SNDR) of 74.8 dB and spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 90.8dB with high power efficiency.
