摘要/Abstract:
This paper presents a low-power 16-channel neurostimulator that consists of a MSP430-compatible controller and a 16-channel stimulation stage, which was fabricated in chartered 0.35μm EEPROM technology, occupying 2.8mm*2.5mm of chip area. The power consumption of the MCU is at most 33.6% lower than the commercial MSP430 controller in normal operation mode. The 16-channel stimulation stage delivers biphasic, charge-balanced stimulating current pulses with different amplitudes, pulse widths and frequencies, providing better treatment for patients.
