We designed a low-power multi-band multi-mode transceiver chip for the transceiver of the controller end, which is taped out in the 0.18 um CMOS technolo gy. The 1e-3 bit error rate sensitivity is about -90 dBm when the receiver is communicating at 400 MHz frequency, 3Mbsp MSK. The sensitivity can reach -99 dBm under the specified test conditions of 2.4 GHz band IEEE 802.15.4 protocol. The maximum transmit power of the transmitter is +4.7 dBm@400 MHz, and +3.1 dBm@2.4 GHz, respectively, and the power amplification efficiency is 40% and 31%, respectively. EVM is about 8% when transmitting signals in the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol. Frequency synthesizer requires only 21% of the relative tuning range, significantly smaller than traditional orthogonal structure broadband solutions. The detailed performance test results show that the performance of the receiver is better than the reported wideband receiver and single-band wireless body area network or IEEE 802.15.4 protocol receivers, the performance of the transmitter is equal to the reported ones.
