The scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting for Wireless Local Area Network (LAN) Chipset was held by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality on Mar. 7, 2011. The appraisal results pointed out “Designed in the 0.18/0.25um technology, the system architecture is compatible with PRISM series by American INTERSIL Company which is a main-stream product in the market and satisfied 802.11b protocol. 2.4GHz RF/IF converter, AGC quadrature modulator/demodulator, frequency synthesizer, AD/DA, baseband processing circuit module, and the testing board for main chips were developed. The chip was taped out and tested, and part chips have been employed by users. Several technology problems were solved including simulation of RF devices, innovation of circuit architecture, microwave and high-frequency testing, etc.” The appraisal concluded that this chipset was the first one in China and reached the international advanced level.
