摘要/Abstract:
Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) technologies play an important role for smart grid. A Muller pipeline based asynchronous Gaussian Frequency-Shift Keying (GFSK) demodulator of AMR is presented in this paper. Compared with the synchronous GFSK circuits, this asynchronous design saves area and power simultaneously by replacing clock networks with handshaking circuits. The circuits are simulated in FPGA. The experimental results show 20.8% power reduction and 29.6% area reduction in SMIC 40nm technology. Furthermore, the circuits meet the needs of AMR technologies and other GFSK-related projects very well.
