摘要/Abstract:
A wide tuning range LC VCO with auto phase noise optimization is designed in 0.13-μm process. Phase noise of wide tuning range VCO design is discussed and a PVT insensitive digital reconfigurable auto amplitude calibration (AAC) circuit is used to stabilize the phase noise in the whole wide band. The AAC circuit with code estimated FSM works fast to get the optimum state. After optimized, the close loop would be cut off so that the phase noise of oscillator would not be degraded.
