H.C. Schröder received several awards (Boehringer Ingelheim Award, Johannes Gutenberg University
Award, Louise Eylmann Foundation Award, Max-Bürger Award, Third Age Award - International Association of Gerontology, Innovation Award) and is author or co-author of over 300 scientific publications in international refereed journals and of about 25 patent applications (8 patents granted) in the field of analytical biochemistry, biotechnology, nanobiotechnology and bioactive compounds from marine organisms. He is/was coordinator of several EU projects in FP4, FP5, FP6, and FP7.

Preparation and characterization of recombinant proteins.
